Living Arrows 2018 (25/53)
“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”. Kahlil Gibran
We showed Dougie just how much we loved him this week when the house turned into a hive of activity when I mentioned it was Father’s Day. The homemade cards, pictures and photos that were produced were very thoughtful. I love watching them get excited at making cards and presents, as I remember doing the same.
The older two very thoughtfully did their own take on cards with lots of kisses and elaborate designs. Daisy wished Dougie a spectacular day and reminded him not to be grumpy at all for the day!
We had a garden day on the Sunday and had a lovely bbq followed by my sister arriving for the afternoon complete with Oreo, honeycomb and mars bar brownie selection from Brew and Brownie in York. I also did well by receiving not one but two beautiful bunches of flowers!
This pic was taken right before bath time, just as the children were starting to turn into tired bickering demons. Fortunately bath and story averted any major fallings out!
