For those of you who don’t know us or haven’t had chance to read about our family. We have four children, our 1st two children Finlay & Daisy arrived in 2006 and at the end of 2008. Continue reading “How slow parenting came into our lives”
I’m writing this on my last Sunday of being 30 with just 5 days left to go. Just writing the title of this post makes me feel a little sad and anxious. Continue reading “My fear of 40!”
My Bloom & Wild experience has been blooming marvellous (sorry for the pun!) I always have new flowers in our home ready for the weekend and this occasion I had no fresh flowers so I promptly ordered these beauties at 4pm and they arrived as I was eating my morning porridge on Saturday. What a service!
The flowers are snugly packed in a recycled letterbox sized box. The flowers are all cut, in-bud so they’re ready to be put in water. Inside the box they’re carefully wrapped, delicate flowers in little nets and roses trimmed of thorns. There are easy directions to follow to arrange and prepare them for your vase and after a good drink and 24hrs these buds blossom even more. I’m no florist but these blooms are so perfect that it’s pretty difffcult to not arrange them well.
My first flower order smelled lovely and they lasted for 12 days! Afterwards we enjoyed encompassing some craft activities with the kids using the left over flowers for flower pressing and making potions and perfumes!
With my most recent order I have opted for some seasonal autumnal colours and I’m looking forward to other creations we can come up with to extend the flowers and/or upcycle the cardboard.
And to make it even better Bloom&Wild enclose further offers in your order as well as codes via email, making subsequent orders even more affordable.
Britmums recently challenged me to take the #EcoverLaundry challenge, sponsored by Ecover. Continue reading “Tackling the Laundry with the help of Ecover.”
I have written a little about starting out on our early days of weaning when I first started our blog.
So as the end of the summer holidays is edging closer, and my mind is thinking about new routines, uniform, kids clubs, nursery and returning to baby groups. Continue reading “What we did this summer!”
