Living Arrows 43~52

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”. Kahlil Gibran

The final week of a very long term was done.

A week of parents evenings, a Halloween disco and some very tired children.

Daisy Doodles and her pumpkin!

We were proud of how well Daisy and Teddy are doing at school and we had another realisation that despite Daisy finding maths really challenging and occasionally upsetting, she is trying her hardest to be more positive and is finding the confidence to do her best and overcome the challenges she faces with it. We can’t ask for more than that and to just keep supporting her with it.  The end of the week saw the big two disappear off to a survival themed Scout camp with TeamStein Daddy, the strength all the scouts showed by camping out in a months worth of rainfall in 24 hours was very admirable.  Finlay in particular once again showed us that he can muck in and be a really positive team player when conditions get tough.

Finlay Jack happy with his pumpkin pick

Before TeamStein Daddy left for a work course on Sunday afternoon we managed to head to the local Pumpkin Patch and get a few snaps.  We were all very glad that we wore wellies, although perhaps a full snowsuit for Florence would have been wise as she face planted in the mud before we even got to the pumpkin field! It was a really lovely morning and they enjoyed an Autumn Picnic snack of hot chocolate and treats in the car afterwards before going home and carving them before Daddy left for the week.  I’m now typing this whilst solo parenting all 4 for the week so I’m hoping that the rest of the week runs as smoothly as the weekend!

Finlay looks so grown up right now! It sounds like the kids are doing well at school – and have the best attitude to learning too x

Always a relief when the parents evenings are successful, now to just emulate the behaviour at home and we’re winning! x

It sounds like you had a busy weekend – I hope this week has gone OK. Fab photos of them all this week – I was rubbish and just bought our pumpkins from the supermarket! #LivingArrows

I don’t blame you, It was extremely muddy and busy so a bit overrated! The thing that slightly irritated me was the first place we went had just plonked them in the field rather than grow them there! x
