This maple and banana weaning biscuit recipe is perfect for older babies, toddlers and older children to help make. With no refined sugar they are perfect for littles to snack on. Simple to make and a little more interesting with the addition of maple syrup and then the warming spice of cinnamon to give the dough a simple festive taste.
My youngest really enjoyed helping me pour the ingrediants into the bowl, roll the dough out and cut out the shapes. She also enjoyed snacking on two of them in the afternoon!
Top tip – If making these for babies then do use a cookie cutter size/shape that is easy for them to hold and eat.
Preheat the oven to 160 degrees celsius. Put all the dry ingrediants into a bowl and add in the mashed banana, maple syrup, melted coconut oil and vanilla. Mix all the ingredints and bring to a dough with your hands. add in extra flour if needed.
Dust a surface with flour and roll to a 1/4 inch thick and cut out 12-15 shapes. Pop onto a greaseproof sheet and bake for approx 15 minutes. See recipe card below for full detail.
I hope that you and your little one(s) enjoy making and eating these simple maple and banana weaning biscuits.
