Family Road Trip around Cornwall with Living Arrows 32/52

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”. Kahlil Gibran. This week has been spent having a family road trip around Cornwall in a hired camper van. We have visited quite a few beach coves, the Eden project, the Helford River, Lands End and Lizard point. After having months at home we have really fulfilled our desire to see the beach and have a change of scene.

We enjoyed the van experience and spent our evenings playing UNO and listening to audio books. It was a little cramped when we all needed to get ready and organised but on the whole it was a really fun experience. The kids loved being driven around the Cornish lanes and we all appreciated Dougie getting to grips with driving it so quickly.

Family Road Trip in Cornwall with 4 kids in the Eden Project

Half way through the week we visited the Eden project. We love the Eden project and it was really good to visit this time around as they have massively reduced the amount of people allowed in. We got to see everything in the biomes and as always they loved the rainforest one.

Florence in particular was taken by the birds and chased them everywhere!

We had to include Lands End and Lizard Point into our family road trip around Cornwall. As expected they were too crowded with tourists for us to stay long and we all got a little grumpy at both these points. We made up for it by enjoying some lovely beaches that were quieter and the kids could enjoy the water. This picture is of Teddy when we trekked down to Kynance Cove. It was later in the day so it was cooler and quieter and one of the highlights to our road trip.

If you’ve visited Cornwall, I would love to hear of your favourite spots there? Also would love to hear about any camper van road trips. We quite fancy doing another one such as Scotland someday.

Gosh it seems everyone is visiting Cornwall this year – I am still to get down that way one day. Such a wonderful (but rather scary in terms of heights) picture!
