“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” After another extremely busy week and one that brought challenges, it was a perfect end to the week with a perfect wintry November day.
We were fortunate on Sunday to wake up to a perfect wintry November day. After a very small amount of snowfall overnight it brought a beautiful calmness to the end of the week after the dreadful weather of Storm Arwen just the day before.
With a day of play dough orders and life laundry ahead I decided to make time for walking the dogs and being with the kids and to have a fresh early morning walk. It was beautiful to see the common behind our house in a carpet of white, icy cobwebs on the gorse bushes and to spot pond life under a layer of ice.
Teddy and Daisy decided to gather up snow and make a hard icy snowball to take back home for a melting experiment. Teddy took this seriously and it kept him busy and entertained on the walk.
The kids hung back and walked together on the way back and Daisy gave them challenge prompts such as snow angels etc and for once there was no bickering with their newly created game!
We came home and had hot chocolates and pastries before I got stuck back into work. I really can’t wait to have more time in the upcoming Christmas holidays for several family wintry walks.
Last weeks Living Arrows
This looks like such a beautiful wintry walk. It did snow here last weekend but none of it stuck – the boys were very disappointed!
