“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” I’m sat typing this up and thinking where do I start as the whole week has gone by in a busy blur of work, two teacher training days, Kids clubs, Christmas shopping and having my mother in law to stay. I’m pretty darn exhausted and I’m looking forward to a week with a steadier pace if possible! I’m going to attempt to narrow the busy week down with some of their highlights.

Teddy has been asking to visit York National Railway Museum again for the past few months but with a few busy weekends we just haven’t had chance. On Friday the little ones had an inset day so after a morning at soft play with friends we headed over to the museum for lunch and a potter. Teddy has been learning about The Rocket, so he was pleased to see it in the museum alongside the Mallard and several others.

This next photo really made me chuckle. Dougie does the swimming lesson run on a Saturday as I stay at home with Daisy who has maths tutoring. He took this fun picture as a flapping mermaid boomerang photo on instagram stories.! I think I could do with lying down and being a mermaid to try and recharge my batteries!

On Sunday we headed to a local skatepark to meet friends for a couple of hours. It was rather cold but as per usual the kids didn’t care as they were busy going up and down the skate ramps. I’m always super impressed with how daring they are at attempting the ramps.

Dougie managed to round them up for a few snaps together. It feels like the opportunities to get them all in a photo together is getting harder as Fin isn’t always with us on our family outings in favour of being with friends.
I fear that the next few weeks are going to be pretty busy as well with the calendar filling up by the week. I’m very happy that we’re not in the restrictions we were in a year ago but I’m also feeling the load from life being back to a faster pace. I think that trying to make time at the weekends to sit down and have family movie times and some early nights will be key to the run up to silly season!

The kids look so happy, what a super snapshot of a marvellous day at the museum!
It just feels so busy at the moment doesn’t it? Looks like you had a lovely week though – we took the boys to the railway museum a few years ago, they loved it! We saw a man telling the story of the Rocket when we were there – he was really good!
They look just the coolest kids at that skate park! We’ve never been to one! It’s such a busy time of the year, isn’t it? Everything going on! x
It is definitely the silly season! Allthough I am not sure we will be restriction free by the time Christmas arrives after last nights announcement. Lovely photos though and I hope you do manage some movie and relaxation time.
