“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” We’ve had a nice relaxed weekend after a very busy week juggling work and kids clubs. We inadvertently ended up doing lot of autumn activities. The kids requested conker collecting on a cycle round the block. It was late afternoon and the sunshine through the trees was delightful, although the kids didn’t really stand still for many photos.

The kids have been keen to clean up their pumpkins after picking them last week. They have been sitting in the utility room all week as we’ve just been too busy. They enjoyed sitting down and scrubbing the mud off them and polishing them with towels. Although of course they bickered over who had which scrubber and got the dog towel first!

Teddy and Flo also used the conkers and pumpkin in the mud kitchen to make pumpkin soup and conker pie whilst we attempted to start tidying the garden up for the winter months.

On Sunday morning we continued the pumpkin theme and Flo decorated her pumpkin for the early years competition. It was really lovely to get the chance to push aside doing things that need my attention to sit down with her and have some one on one time. It feels that this is really precious now she’s at school.

On Sunday afternoon we took the opportunity to nip to Castle Howard as Fin had no plans with his friends. They all love it when he joins us, as he entertains them with various games and does parkour training with them! It’s great that at 15 he can still engage and play with them. It helps that this is the one place where they tend to get along with fewer squabbles! Teddy in particular loves to spend time with him and follows him all round the park. This picture of him sums up his cheeky personality.

Before we left to go home for Sunday dinner, packed lunches and uniform prepping we snapped this pic of all four of them. It took several takes to get them all to look towards the camera at the same time!

We’re all looking forward to this last week of term ending and half term starting. It’s been a stressful and exhausting start to the school year. We don’t have many plans for the upcoming holidays other than to enjoy more autumn activities and for the kids to chill out, whilst we work on our play dough business.

Ahhh what a lovely selection of Autumn photos. We still need to carve our pumpkins as well. Lovely that Fin is so close to his siblings and they athey still enjoy each others company so much. A real credit to you both x
These are all such lovely pictures! We found a conker tree right outside the swimming pool where the boys have their lessons and managed to collect a bag full this week – I do love a conker! Hope you have a lovely half term x
