“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”This week our family life can be summed up as being busy again. I feel the slower pace of the rest of the year has been replaced by the rushing around that school routine brings. I’m hopeful that we can find ways of balancing out the busier days of routine with some slower weekends going forward.
We managed to get through our first full week pretty smoothly and on the whole enjoyed the routine albeit it felt extremely long. They were all super tired by Friday – change that to all 6 of us were exhausted! Three out of four have a cold which I’m sure is a standard welcome back to the Autumn term!
I’m thankful I took a couple of photos of Florence on a few outings on her nursery days off. We didn’t capture many family photos this weekend as we have been busy updating areas of the house, building furniture and reorganising. However we did enjoy a trip to Ikea with just the big two and we all enjoyed shopping without little people causing mayhem and the fact we haven’t been to Ikea for nearly 2 years.
I hope that you’re all getting to grips with new routines, busy family life and navigating all the new changes and restrictions.
These photos are beautiful – love her happy face! School weeks have definitely felt long and our two have been SO tired too! x
Aww lovely photos of her! It’s always exhausting for the first few weeks isnt it! x
Love the pumpkin picture, we have found it pretty hectic here and struggling to get back into routine. I can not remember the last time we went to Ikea although I do need to do some sorting out, I always feel so much better when it is done.
Lovely photos this week. There does seem to be little time for anything else when they’re back at school – by the time my two have got home, watched a bit of TV and eaten dinner it’s pretty much time for bed!
