“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth.” We’ve had a slow half term over here. It was very much needed after the long half term of home learning. It was a good opportunity for me to ditch the school work and catch up on work and jobs in the house.

This meant that the kids have also had a very slow half term and have been allowed to have plenty of social screen time rather than school screen time. They have made a trail of disaster around the house, brought in half the mud from the back garden with their wellies, trailing chicken poo in with them and been on a fair few dog walks. I wouldn’t have it any other way of course!
We did manage to get lucky and have two park trips to our local National trust for the last hour of the day. It was just enough to get them out and enjoy a flask of hot chocolate whilst they got to play in the park. Life seems fleetingly more normal when we leave the house and see other families out enjoying themselves too.

It was really lovely to have the big two around to play with the younger ones as they have longer lessons during term time.

Teddy and Daisy have particularly enjoyed spending more time together. They did an online cooking class and made pop tarts. It was good to see them working as a team and for Teddy to gain some confidence in baking.

I am going to sign off this weeks with a photo of Teddy dressed as 007 yesterday as we didn’t do an awful lot and so he created his own fun themed day and spied on everyone most of the day!

Teddy as Bond is awesome! And it sounds like you had a really lovely half term – a good balance of down time and National Trust! x
I absolutely love the last photo of teddy dressed up as 007 he looks very cool and looks like he has suddenly aged. Sounds like a lovely relaxed half term just the way it should be. Hope the week back at school has been kind to you.
It sounds like you had a perfect half term. I’m really missing using our NT membership but our nearest property is too far to go under the current guidance to stay local so we’ll just have to wait a bit longer!
It will be fantastic when we can all travel that but further. I bet you’re really missing a day out there xx
