“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” This week we’ve had a lot more time at home. recharging our batteries over the week. Well I say we, the kids have recharged whilst I make countless snacks and endlessly pick up after them!

We had re-filled the pool up but the weather has been a bit miserable so the pool and the garden haven’t had that much action and instead we have had quite a bit of screen time and a few outings scattered throughout the week.

Most of the photos have been of Florence this week as she had her 1st of many Birthday celebrations. As family come to see us at different times over the holidays it means she gets several opportunities to celebrate with everyone. She’s really into Koalas and so I ran with a koala theme and made a carrot cake at her request and added a plastic koala on the top!

As for days out this week we had a family evening swim at Helmsley pool. Florence is such a water baby and she asked us to capture her jumping in, it was pretty good snap as she looks like she’s in Buddha pose! She cant quite swim yet but is working really hard at swimming without her Aquaplane float and jumped in a few times without it. She really doesn’t have much fear of the water which is equally marvellous and terrifying to see!

Over the weekend the little two stayed at my mums house for the night whilst we had a really lovely evening at the cinema and Wagamama with the big two.
On Sunday we collected the littles and went to Brimham rocks for a walk and scramble. It’s the first time in years since we visited. It’s taken me a while to want to visit again because I worried that Finlay our daredevil will end up in a&e! As expected he gave me slight heart failure but the others exercised a bit more caution then he did, so I managed to take in some of the scenery and not just hover around worrying!

Now that I have typed up our weekly news it feels like we’ve had quite a busy week of outings instead of lots of time at home. Haha I promise in-between these outings we’ve been home with far too much screen time and far too many treats and snacks!
I’m hoping that this week if the weather is slightly improved, we will spend more time in the garden and hopefully enjoy a few more days out in-between more time at home and another family birthday celebration with Flo!
Last weeks Living Arrows can be found here.

Oh I can’t wait until we have the chance to get back to a pool somewhere – such lovely photos!
OMG that last photo it would give me a heart attack! Happy Birthday Flo. I find being at home running around after the kids more exhausting than being away! I am not sure why. Hope you have a lovely last week of the holidays x
Oh gosh that rock jumping photo! Heart in mouth!! I hope Florence had a lovely birthday. I really envy the time at home – it doesn’t feel like we’ve had enough of it over the last few weeks! x
It sounds like a perfect mixture of time at home and trips out too. That outdoor pool looks ace – I wish we had something like that near us!
