What a difference a week makes with Living Arrows 41/52 (2021)

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Well what a difference a week makes! Last weekend I was totally exhausted, the kids were cooped up and Dougie was run ragged with keeping on top of everything. Fast forward to this weekend and I’m so grateful that we’re feeling better, out of isolation, getting fresh air and enjoying our weekend together.

What a difference a week or so makes - a girl holding up a white pumpkin at the patch

Dougie and I have just returned from a treat anniversary day date to a local spa. It was a very rare treat for us as we don’t often spend time without the kids. It really was very needed after a shaky start to the month.

On Saturday we did spend some time with 3 out of 4 of the kids, visiting our local farm. We did a spot of pumpkin picking. It was great to be out of isolation, getting some fresh air and fun together. Myself and the kids much to Dougie’s amusement love a pumpkin patch. They just make me smile and we can spend ages looking for the perfect ones. I think it was possibly the warmest weather for pumpkin picking, so there was no wrapping up and it was a tad warm for our flask of hot chocolate but we enjoyed it all the same!

Teddy followed in his older brother’s footsteps and picked one of the biggest in the patch! Daisy tried to pick as many as she could and Flo was after a lovey small one. It was only a few hours spent together but like I have said what a difference a week makes, it was really appreciated by all. I hope that you’re all keeping well and safe?

Love Charlotte x

Everyone always looks like they have so much fun at pumpkin patches – I’ve never taken the boys to one but maybe this year is the year to change that! Lovely pictures – although it’s crazy to just be out in jumpers in the middle of October isn’t it?!
