It has been a really nice start to the end of term with the first few Christmassy outings that we have planned before the big day.

They finished their last day of the Autumn term, albeit a little hectic as school messaged last minute to say children didn’t have to come in if parents preferred to start the holidays slightly earlier. We chose to send ours in as they were all ready to go in the car and cases hadn’t been reported in their classes.
All four finished at lunch time and we celebrated with pizza and mozzarella sticks for lunch! Teddy and Flo were at a friend’s birthday party that evening and myself and the big two were heading to Castle Howard’s Christmas event. We have tickets for the little two to visit with us on the 23rd to see Santa, all being well!

It was lovely to walk around the house with just the older two. It meant I could spot some of the smaller details I probably wouldn’t have spotted if it had been all 6 of us! The house has been dramatically transformed into Narnia. and the 28ft snow flocked Nordman fir was one of my highlights. The big two enjoyed a christmassy meal before we headed back home to the others.
At the weekend we caught up with my family for a Christmas meal and then we have a very small party planned for Daisy on Monday. The first party we have done in over 2 years for my lot! I’m just relieved we have got there without having to cancel it, as she was so excited. Then we have our last Christmassy outing before the big day arrives!
I want to take this opportunity to say Merry Christmas to you all!

It looks like you had such a lovely lead up to Christmas. Thanks so much for joining in this year – I hope you had a lovely Christmas too x
