“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth.” I’m pretty sure that most weeks in January are described as a long week! I don’t think it helps that we started the New school term on the 4th.
This week we’ve all felt pretty tired and there are lots of sniffles going on. We have had one of our 4 down with Covid and are really hoping that it doesn’t spread to anymore of us now he’s negative. Having already had it last year, I certainly don’t relish the thought of catching it again.
This weekend we have kept ourselves home apart from Finlay who had an outdoors hockey match. This is probably why it’s felt like a long week!

Realising I sound a bit moany, I will move on to a few nicer parts of the week! Teddy and I have spent lots of time in the garden seeing to the chickens. Well I see to the chickens and he plays! It’s great that he’s been using the garden playing football and messing with the ice in the mud kitchen. This is the first year our garden hasn’t been flooded with rainwater or covered in icy water.

Flo and I, well mostly Flo made some heart jam tarts on Sunday. It was possibly the calmest moment all afternoon, so was definitely my favourite part of the day!

Just a short one from me, this long week! I will be back next week for the last one of January, before we edge into February.
Last Weeks Living Arrows

Oh I adore the sunbeams picture, what a snapshot! I so don’t want covid back in this household either.
So sorry covid has hit lovely, I hope you’re all ok x
I am feeling like it’s been a long week! And a very long January. I hope you are all still testing negative. Love the idea of making jam tarts I’ve not done that for ages. Lovely photos in the sun
Hope you’re all OK and no-one else succumbed to covid. I love Flo’s little concentration face making her jam tarts 🙂
