Cafe Trips with Living Arrows 3/52 (2022)

You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Our highlights this week after a demanding week of work was most definitely our cafe trips!

Dougie and Daisy had plans for a cat cafe trip in York City on Saturday for some quality time together. I decided that myself and the littles also deserved a trip out, so we visited my Mum and treated her to lunch at her local farm shop cafe.

Daisy enjoyed meeting all the rescue cats and told us how one of them even tried to eat Dougie’s carrot cake!

Before tucking into a hot lunch, Teddy and Flo enjoyed hot chocolates with marshmallows, although Florence managed to decorate half the table with hot chocolate!

On Sunday we sadly had no cafe trips. We did manage to enjoy a family dog walk behind where we live. As all four were there,I took the opportunity to snap a photo.

I’m sat typing this, with 2 out of 4 down to bed. This term seems to be pretty exhausting on the kids already! Starting back to school so early after New Year makes it a pretty long trek to half term. I think lots of early nights are in order this week!

Everyone seems to be snapping shots of hot chocolates whilst out and about – we really need to get out and enjoy some mugs of hot chocolate ourselves.

I love the sound of your cafe trips. We love grabbing a hot chocolate or slice of cake out and about. We’re finding half term pretty exhausting here too! x

I know what you mean half term here is still 4 weeks away! Although I have a lot to organise before then so that’s probably not a bad thing. Lovely photo of the four of them, they all look like they have suddenly grown up!

It sounds like you had a lovely weekend. I can’t actually remember the last time I took the boys to a cafe – I’ll have to fix that soon! I love the photo of all four of them together – it must be nice when you manage to get them all in a picture these days!
