Chilled Christmassy Weekend with Living Arrows 50/52

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”  I feel happy to report back that the whole family have had a chilled Christmassy weekend! I fulfilled all my Christmas orders last Friday and so took the opportunity to switch off a little for the weekend.

The littles got two small Lego bags as a treat in our homemade advent calendar. They built them before heading to swimming lessons. I was pleased that I got to see them swim for the first time In a while, as I usually do maths lessons with Daisy on a Saturday.

When swimming was finished we headed to McDonalds for an easy lunch and went to Harrogate to pick my Mum up to stay for a few days as her foot is in plaster. We walked Rusty at one of my favourite walks from my own childhood. It was lovely to avoid the shops / jobs and plod around in the mud with the three of them.

Saturday night saw Dougie take Daisy to see a live band for the first time (Levellers), just so happened it was one of his favourite bands from when he was younger on a 30th anniversary tour! On Sunday we sat around for most of the morning in pjs and watched some funny home movies from the kids previous Christmas plays and clips of them as babies and toddlers.

We picked up Flo’s new glasses on Saturday. This was her on her first full day of wearing them, she managed to keep them on all day and looked so cute! The Optician has advised that if she wears them for a few years, from 7 years old her vision will hopefully be fine without them.

On Sunday evening we ate lots of Italian food for dinner with pannetone bread and butter pudding. Here’s to a few more chilled Christmassy weekends

I can’t quite believe we’re at number 50 of Living Arrows 2021. It’s been wonderful to document our family journey through this weekly link up. Only two left to go….!
