“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”. Kahlil Gibran. Family life has gone by quickly again this week. Florence and I have done soft play twice, as we got a pass for the Winter months. It’s not my favourite activity but it certainly provides me with a bit of adult interaction and coffee whilst she gets to play indoors and avoid that biting wind we’ve had up North.

The weekend went by in a flash as we had the usual kids clubs. Highlights include seeing Daisy skate at a roller disco party in Harrogate. I grew up there and used to go to the roller disco when I was her age. It was hard getting a quick snap of her without being a keen embarrassing Mum!

Come Sunday we spent most of the day in York city centre doing the ice trail. I was a bit hesitant about taking the little ones and a pushchair around a busy event and conscious that it was a lot of walking for Teddy.

The little ones were fab and moaned less then the big ones. It was a great way to see lots of the city and although we didn’t find all 40 we did cross the majority of the sculptures off the trail list. Teddy was happy to find some Star Wars sculptures and Fin was pleased that we found the Harry Potter ones complete with lots of themed photo opportunities.

Living Arrows, family life news from last week.

It sounds like you’ve had a great week. The sculpture trail looks like a lot of fun too – lovely pictures 🙂 #LivingArrows
It looks like you’ve had a great week – and I’d love a roller disco party! It looks like great fun x
The ice trail sounds great, I think we would have headed towards the Harry Potter ones too. I am with you on soft play. Not long until half term x
