My New Chapter

In the last year I have had my last pregnancy resulting in my final birth of our baby girl and my last year of my thirties. I have thought a lot about my life and aspirations as well as our family dreams and goals with lots of ideas and notions whizzing around my head. I started this year with a few goals I wanted to achieve before I’m 40 such as being more organised with my personal interests and so I can also have some more quality ‘me time’. I have spent the last decade having babies, working hard as a childminder and running most of the household duties just as us mad overworked Mummies do! This post isn’t necessarily about how very hard it is to be a Parent (I will save that for another occasion) it’s about how being a busy Mummy has led me down this path and I am aware my blogging will mostly be about being a parent but in turn it will be rewarding to me as a person not just as a Mummy.

Whilst being pregnant last summer I enjoyed many a hot day in the shade watching lots of fabulous Mummy vloggers and reading some beautiful blogs of which I identified with and then I started to think Maybe I could do this. The more I thought about it the more I thought this could empower me as a person, taking me out of my comfort zone, using my brain differently and to give me back more confidence as a person.

I have had my moments/days of self doubt mixed with ‘what ifs’ such as ‘what if’ no one reads my posts, ‘what if’ no one likes my content or reading/hearing negative feedback on it. Today whilst having some rare me time and first few hours away from Florence I laid on a lounger at the spa and closed my eyes and decided any doubts or negativity that may come with sharing your life with people will be outweighed with all the benefits I could gain from this. I came home and wasted no time in writing this very honest account of my journey.

So to all of you reading this and thinking about making any changes in your life however small, dont waste anymore time go ahead and try it! If I can find time and try something new and out of my comfort zone than so can you!
