Loft Conversion

One of the best things you can do to your home is create a loft conversion, this will add a whopping 20% to the asking price when you come to sell it. If you wish you had more room in your home and are considering moving then how about you just add extra space to your existing home. A lot of people forget that they can not only build outwards but upwards as well, and sometimes without the need for planning permission! Speak to a contractor that has done loft conversions previously to see if your home is suitable for one. Some houses don’t have the right level of support for loft conversions as various walls and beams need to be knocked out.

Flooring

If you want your home to look amazing then one thing you can do is think about the flooring. There are many types of flooring you can use within your home, one of the most common being hardwood. This is due to how easy it is to clean and keep clean, spills can be wiped up in no time at all. Of course, that doesn’t mean you can’t install carpets throughout your home, they just take a bit more maintenance than other flooring types. Speak to your local flooring company to see what they recommend.

Exterior

You need to make sure that you are upgrading your exterior. This is all about making sure that your home has the right standards of curb appeal. A low level of curb appeal will immediately turn off potential buyers and likely mean they skip over your property completely. There are lots of ways to upgrade your exterior. For instance, you might want to focus on improving the windows. After all, these are a gateway into the interior of your home for potential buyers who start by window shopping the properties they like the look of. Or, you could upgrade your front door and ensure it stands out.

Pool

Finally, you might also want to think about adding a pool to your home. The right pool will mean you can increase your home value by as much as 25%. The brilliant part about a pool is that they are often not as expensive as most people assume. Indeed, you can add a pool to your home for no more than ten thousand. This means that a new pool could cost far less than a typical kitchen renovation. Particularly, if you have luxury plans in mind. You just need to make sure that you do hire the right contractor that you can trust to complete the building work to the best possible standards. You also need to make sure that you don’t outprice your potential buyers. This could be an issue if you live in an area where almost no homes have pools.

We hope this helps you understand some of the key steps that you can take to ensure you can easily boost your home value before it’s time to sell.
