It’s an official Heatwave

Living Arrows 2018 (26/53)

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”. Kahlil Gibran

Well I think we can call it a heatwave now.  We can’t remember the last day we had rain up in Yorkshire.  We have been making the most of outdoor living but it does have slight challenges in that we get a few grumpy children and er cough cough Mummies and Daddies!

On Wednesday we broke free from after school routine and headed up into the North York Moors and went to the nearest lido for an outdoor swim and picnic tea.  I will have happy memories of this evening of Florence the fearless who refused to let me hold her in the water, as she thinks she can already swim unaided! I managed to attach arm bands and a vest on her and yes she could then float like a happy star fish around the pool!

I invested in yet another inflatable paddling pool, as they never see to last more than one summer.  The kids loved it, as we never had one last year, so a real garden treat for them. This is how we’ve managed to cool down last week, what about you?

Our nearest lido is about half an hour away so I always forget it’s there! She looks like she had such a great time x
