This week just flew by for us, mainly as it was a 4 day week due to inset day on Friday. The kids were pleased to support Children in Need on Thursday and I managed to cobble together some T-shirts for them to wear as I’m never quick enough to grab the official merchandise before it sells out. I have never been able to sew or knit so this was an achievement for me and with a trusty glue gin and some wonder web they came out pretty well and held up for most of the day!
This photo was taken on a Christmas press trip on Friday at Castle Howard. It really got me excited for Christmas coming.
We then had a lovely morning in York on Sunday with a delicious brunch followed by a quick walk through the Christmas market. We kept it brief as four children in a market is always a little daunting! They were actually really well behaved and enjoyed spending some money given to them from their Great Auntie in one of the market stalls, buying a wooden name plate for their rooms, including one for Tommy the tortoise!
The t-shirts look fab – well done! And those Fat Rascals look amazing – I love York, we’ve not been there for ages though.
Great work on the t-shirts, I could never do that! Our school don’t celebrate CIN – they’re always fundraising for something but to help the school. Ours would love to have CIN fun instead! x
