The week started off a bit differently with a quick visit to the hospital with Florence after spotting something suspect in her ear, and her explanation being it was a raisin, so it needed checking out, eeek! As she’s still so young the only option we had was to have her sedated and looked at. Turned out she’s a good storyteller as a lump of hard wax was removed. It was quite uncomfortable for her, so she had a few slower days to recover.
Teddy was delighted to have his first cook school visit and to make fruit kebabs, non school uniform for children in need and his first inset day.
Daisy enjoyed performing with the school choir at Daddy’s Regimental mess dinner and also enjoyed the inset day. We spent the day in York and visited the York Art gallery, as they had a BFG exhibition on. We had a fab time at the museum and it was so child friendly and interactive. We will definitely return.
Finlay sadly didn’t get an inset day but had an afternoon out at the local pool with friends and no related grown ups in sight. A real treat to have some independence. He’s growing up so fast.
We ended our slightly busy weekend with a festive day out to Stockeld Park (review to come soon). Highlight of the day was walking and Nordic skiing through the Enchanted Forest.
