This week has felt very long! Dougie was busy working all hours to finish up on Friday ready for some well earned leave. Myself and the kids spent days making sure we had packed up enough for a few weeks away. Finlay also helped out by mowing the lawns so the house and garden jobs could be finished before we left. I haven’t taken many photos during the week as we were busy organising for our family holiday.

I took this photo of Flo helping me make banana porridge as we had several slow mornings. I love snapshots like these as they are part of what makes me feel like a proper Mummy.
Packing up for our trip away takes a lot of organisation for us as a family of 6. The kids packed up their own rucksacks and I made sure our beach bags and camping equipment was very organised as we have learnt from many trips in the past what works and doesn’t work. Dougie has decided that going forward a van will be a family must have to put all our many bags in!

We arrived in the campsite on Saturday afternoon and Flo was keen to help out again and was delighted to wash up with Dougie unlike the rest of them who avoided him when he asked for a washing up volunteer.

Spending Sunday at our happy place on the beach opposite Salcombe, is just the perfect tonic. We often reminisce about being here over family mealtimes and this year more than ever we thought it might not happen, so this makes us even more grateful to be here

Camping looks amazing – must take ours soon! Hope you manage to relax a bit, prob not easy with 4 kiddos haha! Enjoy 🙂 xx
