“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”. Kahlil Gibran.Another ordinary week of homeschool mixed with us stepping into our new normal.

This photo of Daisy and the tortoise was taken when she was trying to tell me the tortoise needed some entertaining. This sums up her wily ways of trying to stall doing homeschool in the mornings. She’s very good at convincing me something needs doing or a milkshake needs making for everyone or she’s reading something which counts as her lessons!

We had a lovely meet up with friends who are moving away this month. We’re grateful we have been able to see them before they move away as we’re going to miss them so much. As always this is the downside to military family life as the goodbyes for now are always hard. The kids enjoyed playing on trees whilst we had a good catch up. Florence is wearing a lovely rainbow hand me down they gave us from their little girl.

The kids were so pleased to get to the park this weekend. It was a last minute late Sunday afternoon idea and we’re so glad we went. There was lots of hand sanitiser and a hand washing station and the park at this time of day wasn’t too busy. Their smiles when playing there made us feel happier in our decision to take them.
We have been stepping into our new normal this week a bit earlier than I expected we would. Dougie took the boys for haircuts as he needed to look trimmer for work. I took the big two into two shops for some new clothes. I feel that we have done all of this quicker than I planned or expected, it all just happened this weekend. I’m glad I didn’t get time to overthink it all as it has been nice having some small steps to normality again.
Last weeks living Arrows can be read here .

Gorgeous photos 🙂 Glad you got to see your friends. We haven’t braved a playground visit yet xx #livingarrows
As we live so close to the RMA we have so many military families at the children’s school and it’s always so hard when they move. Daisy looks so like her big brother in that photo with the tortoise, they have such similar features x
I guess sometimes when it happens you don’t have time to worry? Some things really freak me out but others don’t seem to. Sorry to hear you had to say goodbye to friends. Hopefully, you will see them again soon x
