The Reality of Pumpkin Picking with a Toddler!

With unseasonably warm temperatures we spent so much of last week out and about, probably to the detriment of household and life admin, but I kept telling myself that we needed to make the most of what could be one of the last warm weeks before the late Autumn and Winter weather sets in.

My mum, Florence and I went to a lovely farm cafe for lunch outside, it was so hot we needed the parasol up!  Florence played happily in the park and found a fun game where she kept kept hiding and then calling loudly at us from inside the play house.

I have never seen such an amazing collection of pumpkins and squashes and so couldn’t resist getting a few pumpkin shots of Flo.  We took her over to the pumpkin patch so I could try and get a cute snap of her but we had to pass by the goats which Flo really wasn’t sure about. We then into the patch, which as I was walking through could’nt help but think that for little eyes it’s a really odd place to be.  Twisty old leaves, straw, dirt and giant orange things.  To top it off there were some little ones who kept crying unnerving Florence even more .  All in all its safe to say she really wasn’t sure about the pumpkin patch and when plonked on a pumpkin and told to smile she wouldn’t comply.  I took one look at my photo and realised it was a keeper, and definitely one for her 18th!
