This week was our first week back to school after the Easter Holidays. I cannot believe that we’re already in the summer term, as It feels like we’ve only just started to get back into school.

The week went by really quickly as most first weeks seem to, as I play catch up with home and work. As always in term time I struggle to take many pictures of the kids as they’re not around as much. so I don’t have much to choose from this week!
On Saturday Teddy returned to swimming lessons, which we were really pleased about. The kids have really missed swimming.
Florence hasn’t been in a pool for a very long time, so we were chuffed to get her booked into the foundation stage lesson as well. I was busy and so Dougie took them. I was a little anxious as to how she would get on as she is fearless and kept telling me she could already swim! By all reports she threw herself into the lesson as we expected and thoroughly enjoyed herself.
Daisy is also back to hockey after school club and she starts Scouts this week and Teddy starts Beavers. I’m hopeful they will have some fun outdoor sessions with it being a bit warmer and lighter in the evenings during the summer term. Seeing them get excited for their clubs makes you realise just how much kids have sacrificed over the past 13 months.

Other than feeling like we’re making steps back into some normality we’ve also been busy doing jobs at home in the garden. We spent most of the weekend making a start in the garden for the summer months. I’m hoping to try and grow a few more things in the garden. I tend to struggle growing anything more than strawberries and tomatoes.
The chickens enjoyed having some company whilst we were out there and have even tried to come In the house when we let them out for a roam. Daisy brought Mabel into the house to say goodnight and asked if she could have a sleepover with the chickens soon!

Aww these are fab photos. I’m glad you’re all getting back to some form of normality, my kids are desperate to get to some clubs too x
Itβs lovely for them to have these opportunities again albeit a little tiring for us parent taxis π x
Gosh, it’s all started again hasn’t it? I’m thankful that the children’s swim school closed our site and so they are having a break from swimming at the moment but are obviously back at school and their gymnastics classes have started again. That’s enough for now! x
Itβs a little overwhelming going back to full pelt! X
So nice having the kids’ clubs starting back up again isn’t it π x
Itβs great for them and a little tiring for Mum taxi π
It’s been good to get back to activities hasn’t it? Although I do feel like we’re very busy all of a sudden after a year of doing hardly anything!
It is nice for the clubs to be starting back up again isn’t it? Charlie went back to cubs this week and I am trying to find swimming lessons locally but I think I have left it too late as they seem to all have a waiting list. We have also been spending time in the garden and I am feeling a little behind as we have seeds that really need to go in!
