Days Out in the Cold Spring Weather with Living Arrows 15/52 (2021)

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” This week we have just got stuck into being outdoors in the cold spring weather to be able to see friends and tire the kids out!

Dougie went back to work on Tuesday so with just me to entertain them, I decided that I had to brave this very arctic, cold spring weather. We have seen two different friends over the course of the past week. It made me realise how lovely it is for us all to see friends.

The kids have really enjoyed playing with others and I have also appreciated having some adult company to chat and freeze with. It certainly made the week go by fast by braving the snow flurries mixed with spring sunshine.

Other than braving the snow flurries mixed with spring sunshine we have had lazy mornings with kids screen time so I can catch up with washing etc to keep the house functioning. The kids have been really good at entertaining themselves and each other playing with some of my Bear and Boo dough and good old Guess Who, other than that they haven’t done much else indoors.

Today sees us back to term time routine which will be a shock as we’ve really enjoyed our lazy mornings for the past two weeks!

The weather has been all over the place recently hasn’t it? We woke up to hail covered streets on Monday but then were walking to school without coats on by the end of the week! Glad to hear you’ve still been managing to get out and see friends though, even if it has been cold 🙂
