15 Reasons to Visit BBC Countryfile Live at Castle Howard

Countryfile presenters outside Castle Howard We’re excited this Summer that BBC Countryfile Live is in Yorkshire! Hooray! Castle Howard is hosting Countryfile in their beautiful grounds from the 15-18th August 2019.

This is set to be a fantastic and memorable summer family day out for all!Countryfile presenters in a canoe in a fountain

Here are just some of the things that we’re looking forward to seeing and doing as a family of 6 at BBC Countryfile Live:

Presenters live on stage – Anita, Matt, Ellie, John, Adam, Tom and Charlotte will all be taking to the stage to recall stories and share fascinating facts about one of the BBC’s best-loved TV series – and interview each other!
National Trust Theatre – Listen to the Countryfile presenters and other well known celebrity presenters discuss current topics such as their love of nature, environmental issues, farming, survival in the outdoors, scenes not screens, countryside travels and how to be an action packed presenter with Blue Peter’s Lindsay Russell. This is something our kids are definitely looking forward to!3 children standing smiling with Lindsey a Blue Peter Presenter
50 things to do before you’re 11 3/4 – 50 tips from the National Trust for your little adventurers. Get ticking more activities off your little one’s adventure list with some help and tips from the NT.

  1. Waterside- A chance to go kayaking and try fishing on the stunning lake.
  1. Down at the Farmyard – Spot some rare pigs and prize winning cattle, my youngest ones love a farmyard. Also let your littles climb aboard some farm machinery at Farming in Action.
