Living Arrows 35~52

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”. Kahlil Gibran

This week sees the last week of our holidays ending with the first day of September. We have had a really quiet week at home due to Finlay breaking his arm last weekend. A week full of home days which turned out to be very much needed, I stopped entertaining the kids and let them just play. This meant I didn’t take any proper photos until Sunday when it was Teddy and Florence’s joint Birthday parties. It was so sweet to see how exited they were after counting down the party all Summer and seeing their friends after 6 weeks was very exciting for them. Their party was at a local farm park and as we were all busy keeping tabs on 19 children we typically didn’t get many pictures, so this one is from when we first arrived in the car park! They were very keen to wear their Birthday crowns, bless them!

I also love this picture that Dougie captured at the end of the day when the farm were holding their last Summer celebration with a kids’ foam party, it was carnage as you can imagine!

I couldn’t end this week’s Living Arrows without a picture of our wounded soldier who now has his full cast on. He was pleased to get some peace after his hospital appointment and we had a nice lunch by ourselves for a change.

I’m sat typing this post on the evening before school starts, we have had some wonderful times and some testing moments this past 6 weeks and now I’m reflecting just how quick these childhood years whizz by and how lucky we are to fill them with so many lovely memories. I wish you all a good start to the school year and hope routine is kind to you all.

I love their birthday crowns such a lovely idea. that foam party looks epic and reminds me of some I once went to when a teenager!! Hope the cast is okay and not proving too troublesome for him. x

Oh no! I hope Finlay is OK – probably not the end to the holidays you were hoping for 🙂 The birthday party looks like it was a lot of fun though! #LivingArrows
