A Busy May with Living Arrows
“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” One week in and It’s already proving to be a busy May for us. I think we always knew our move would suddenly creep up after such a long wait! We’ve been busy back at school and juggling all the jobs that need doing in the new house with all the jobs that need doing in our army property ready for our march out in June. We’re also still waiting on school places so that adds a little stress to everything else.
This all said we have had a pretty productive week and ticked off lots on our to do list. I think having a working week of 4 days has more of a productive feel to it, so I would happily have a 3 day weekend every week!

We did step away from the jobs for a few hours this Sunday and took the three (Fin is deep in revision) to Castle Howard. It was lovely to be able to access the rose garden after Winter and see all the spring blooms. I can’t get over how leafy and green everywhere is and how quickly the cow parsley has shot up in all the wooded areas.

Daisy took a watercolour set and had a go at some outdoor painting and Florence brought a cake that she made with Dougie which was yummy with a take away coffee. It’s been a while since we’ve visited Castle Howard and so we really enjoyed our few hours. I also didn’t realise how much we needed a break from organising the house until we were there. It was very much needed to re-group as a family before we head into an even busier week.

Last weeks Living Arrows

Such lovely snapshots, I fondly remember making daisy chains as a kid.
It sounds like you had a lovely day out – hope you’ve managed to have another productive and stress free week!
It sounds like you’ve got a lot going on at the moment but I’m sure things will settle down once you’re in one house, with the kids at the right school etc. Hang on in there! Looks like a lovely break from all the jobs x
Its coming round quickly. Sounds like you have a plan though and will get there. Good you took a break and some lovely pictures of the kids and you. Good luck this week hope its all on track x
