This week has really felt like the most positive week so far this year! It has been the first week of the Easter holidays for us and Dougie took this week off work so having an extra pair of hands has been welcome.
It has been such a positive week as we have enjoyed having family over in our garden. Being able to have my sister over for a bbq after all this time was fab and hopefully we will start to catch up with friends soon. I haven’t rushed to fill the diary as the kids have got so used to downtime at home and we were all really exhausted at the end of term.

As usual we have been out for long walks and enjoyed the spring sunshine. We visited Castle Howard all together for the first time this year. The daffodils were at their best and looked like a carpet of sunshine yellow, such a cheerful sight.

We have been clearing up the garden after winter and the first cut of the lawn has been done. The chickens have had their first taste of freedom now the bird flu restrictions have also lifted. Not only have we been lockdown, but so have they!
We enjoyed the garden mainly with the little two this week as Daisy has been on hockey camp and Fin out mowing neighbours’ lawns and practising his skateboarding tricks out the front of our house. This picture is of Teddy with his chicken Margot. He’s getting so confident at handling all 3 chickens now!

The week has ended in a nice chilled Easter Sunday of egg hunting, eating and lots of fresh air. We enjoyed a walk behind our house and got a rare photo of us all. This might just be a new favourite of mine although it did take a few takes to perfect as the phone was sat in a makeshift tripod of a shoe on the opposite gatepost!
I hope you’ve all had a positive week and a lovely Easter weekend? Happy Easter from Team Stein x
