Feeling loved

Living Arrows 2018 (11/53)

“You are the bows from which your children  as living arrows are sent forth”. Kahlil Gibran

We had a slightly shorter week, as it was inset day on Friday and so we kick-started the weekend by roping my Mum into taking the gang swimming.  Teddy was so proud of himself for ditching the arm bands and trying a noodle for the first time!  The joy on Florence’s face when she entered the pool will stay with me and my mum for a long time. Its really tricky to take them swimming as most pools are strict on ratios, so it’s great to have my Mum close by now to help out.
Sunday saw a day of me being spoilt with beautiful homemade cards, a breakfast in bed, which is always a funny/concerning event as shreddies and half a pint of milk come my way.  I was at least helped by the baby who ate half my breakfast on my lap.  I really did enjoy not having to cook or clear up for the day, and this gave me more time to sit and just appreciate the kids more, so this was the best present of all, oh and a bath in peace! We had a glorious afternoon exploring another new National Trust place, this time on the Yorkshire Moors.  We ran off some energy exploring the garden complete with mud kitchen, and the best bit – a garden cafe which served great coffee!  Lastly a big up to my hard working hubby and especially the brownies that Daisy and him produced for our pit stop in the garden. I hope all you Mummies got to relax or be treated in a way that made you feel really appreciated.
