“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” I’m a little behind with our weekly updates as the unpacking of boxes have certainly taken over! This post may end up being a blur of 2 weeks in one! We have arrived in Devon and have been treated to days and days of blue skies which makes the village look very picturesque indeed. We have been busy indoors which has been hot work but at least we’re keeping cooler on some of the really hot days!

The children have all started their new schools. Teddy and Florence have been doing lots of lovely activities such as paddling in the stream, a duck race, more sports days, a movie in pjs and a fairytale ball! This has further cemented one of the reasons we wanted to make this move.

Daisy has been happy so far, which is really good as a move in year 8 could have been a bit tricky for her. She also has had some lovely opportunities that she would never have had in her previous school. She is especially looking forward to a whole week of activities this coming week, which includes a water park, surfing, ice skating and high ropes day out.
As for Finlay he has been busy helping us out with various furniture building jobs around the house, so he can earn more money for trips back to York to be with friends.
I’m really looking forward to feeling a little bit more organised in the house and breaking up for a much needed summer holiday!
