“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”. Kahlil Gibran
I will keep this fairly short as I’m writing this quite late as we returned from a weekend away in Scotland at the in-laws. They really enjoyed meeting our niece’s cockapoo puppy Maisie and I’m sure I’m going to be getting more pressure for a four legged addition to our family now.
This school week was a slightly quieter one sandwiched between two busy school weeks. So I took the opportunity to work less and have a few picnic and park days with Florence this week. She mastered a big slide and rope bridge at our local National Trust site which was lovely to see how pleased she was with herself but also emotional as she’s really growing up at the moment.
I really wish you could just bottle these years up, I’m definitely not wishing them away. I’m hoping to get to visit here again one more time before the Summer holiday crowds appear so Florence and I can get another quality picnic together.

They really do grow SO fast don’t they! I wish we could bottle this time up too!
Each year gets faster, when we were kids time was so much slower!
I always wish each year could last just a little bit longer. I have no urge for the children to get older! x
We need a pause button every so often!
Oh they grow so quick its so bittersweet. Hope you had a lovely break and I can see why they would want one of those. Very cute. Although I could not cope with the additional workload.
