Living Arrows 39~52

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”. Kahlil Gibran

It’s been a wet Autumnal week in this house.  It’s been filled with entertaining Florence  with swimming and playing whilst tying to squeeze a few jobs in between having fun with her.  I’m looking forward to setting into a new routine next week of having her start nursery for a full day for me to get work achieved and then hopefully getting a better balance of work, household and fun times with Flo.

Florence and I were fortunate to go on a lovely press trip this week to Castle Howard to see their Autumn harvest and Flower Festival.  I got this lovely photo of Florence as she was compliant in having her photo taken in front of an audience! Girl holding a hedgehog

We returned to the Autumn festival as a family at the weekend and I think our highlights were getting to stroke the rescue hedgehogs and bumping into Teddy’s best friend and seeing their excitement at playing in the hay maze together.two boys cuddling teddy's on hay bales

The girls were tired by the end of the afternoon and were being a little awkward, so I took this photo of my chatty, happy boys getting on lovely together.  Finlay is so good with his little brother and Teddy’s friend.  They get ever so excited when he’s around.two boys looking at a lake

Today it’s my Birthday and due to the rain we’re staying at home and as I tap we’re watching Harry Potter.  I have a day off from the kitchen duties so have been treated to breakfast in bed by Daisy, Brunch and Dinner by Dougie and ice cream cake made by everyone, so perfect a day watching a movie and eating!
