Ironically this week was pretty long after me regularly talking about how fast this year has been. We seemed to have quite a lot happen all in one week. Dougie and I had planned some time off together whilst the children were in school and nursery and it didn’t happen as both boys were poorly with temperatures for the first few days. It really hit Finlay, who never normally has time off school. 
I also went to watch the school carol service which I have to be honest wasn’t very upbeat for a Christmas one. I really felt for the children as the music picked for them was just really sombre for Christmas. It was a bit of shame for the Year 6’s who were singing in their last Christmas primary service.
Towards the end of the week things got better as they got to enjoy their Beavers and Scouts Christmas parties. The boys went to see StarWars and myself and the littles got to see Frozen 2. Daisy had a really lovely Birthday party with her school friends, we made our annual gingerbread house and tried our hardest to have a lovely walk with a very tired and stroppy Teddy, to find the hidden Christmas tree in the nearby woodland!
We’re now all off for the holidays and we’re very much looking forward to this Christmas week with our last trip to see Santa at Castle Howard, Daisy’s birthday on Christmas Eve and lots of quality family time and maybe even a few peaceful moments!

Hope you are managing some peaceful moments. Its so difficult when they are ill. A hidden Christmas tree sounds fun. We also got to see Father Christmas on Christmas Eve and it made it really magical. Hope you had a wonderful time x
