Misty Morning Walks with Living Arrows 45/52

Maybe I should reword this post from misty morning walks to misty days. We have been surrounded by a slightly warm mist for November the past two days. Albeit a little eerie it has meant for some really pretty misty morning walks.

A misty morning walk with a girl playing on a swing

Flo and I went to visit a new swing in the woods behind our house on Thursday, the first day of lockdown. I thought it rather apt that she decided to dress as a superhero this day!

A misty morning walk with a girl walking her dog

Having Rusty our cockapoo has meant that as of this week (vaccinations) we now have to take him for short walks several times a day. I think you can see the joy in Daisy’s face being able to let Rusty off on the local common.

two boys skateboarding

Dougie took Flo and the boys for a misty morning skate on Saturday and I love this pic he took of Teddy on his board. He’s really trying hard to keep up with his older siblings on their boards.

A girl holding a sparkler in the dark

Bonfire night came and went this week. I’m not a fan of bonfire night as fireworks and sparklers still scare me! That said the kids were given some sparklers and enjoyed them under the watchful eye of Dougie. We tried out the mum hack of putting the sparkler in a carrot for the little two to hold and this made me feel a little happier!

A boy sat outside round a bonfire in the dark

We also enjoyed being out in the garden after dark. We lit the chimnea, watched the neighbours fireworks and had sausages in buns.

A boy planting some garden bulbs

Lastly Teddy and I enjoyed our yearly ritual of planting bulbs in the front garden on another misty morning! At first he wasn’t keen but after a few minutes wanted to do all the digging.

I had originally thought that I didn’t have a lot to talk about in this week’s living arrows. However when I look back at these photos from the week it has made me realise we’ve had some lovely moments this week.

Ahhh what a lovely week, love the mist. I am also not a fan of fireworks although we had a few silent ones. Good idea on the carrot. I still need to plant our bulbs! Hoping for some quiet times this weekend to catch up on the garden.
