“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” The start of the holidays and we are so ready for some summer days at home. We do have a week away planned in August but what we’re all needing is to spend time in our new home exploring our doorstep to give us some familiarity to the local area.
The last week of term saw some lovely activities for the children and they were very pleased to come home after very warm days in class to the paddling pool up! I really felt for all the kids and teachers on those last hot and tiring days of term.

We have been enjoying walks around the village and they love getting into the river and paddling. Our nearest dog walk is perfect terrain for them to take their bikes on, so there isn’t the normal grumblings about having to walk Rusty.

I’m sure you can imagine they like to get in the river no matter what they’re wearing on their feet. Florence was prepared in her wellies but went out of her depth and filled them! I’m looking forward to seeing how this walk and the village changes throughout the seasons. although I’m in no rush for these warm summer days to end!
