Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” I’m filling you in on a brief snapshot this week as we’ve been busy prepping for our annual camping holiday to Devon. It takes so much prep getting us organised for such a long camping trip that it tends to take us all week to prepare!
Other than camping prep I have spent the week making sure all the kids have had something fun to do amidst all my admin and housework.
Fin had a group of his friends over for dinner in the bell tent in the garden and really enjoyed hanging out with them. Daisy had two friends the following day for afternoon tea lunch in the tent. The heavens opened with a big storm so they ended up playing board games inside, which I loved as it reminded me of my childhood with my friends. We’ve found this week if we leave a few board games out on the table they actually play with them rather than reach for their screens all the time!

I only have a couple of photos of this week and one of them is Daisy baking some pup cakes for Rusty who turned one this week! I was a bit reluctant about her making a mess when we were so busy with other things but they worked out really well and he loved them!

Daisy, Teddy and Flo ended the week with a trip to Piglets Farm with our friends and two children I child mind for. The weather was terrible but we made the best of it and wore them out in between downpours. I only took one picture that didn’t have any of the childminding kids in. Daisy is so mad on animals she nearly ended up being in with the pigs!
When we got home it was all systems go for packing the van up, but at least all the kids had one nice thing happen in the first week of our holidays. Hope you enjoyed a slightly late brief snapshot of our week with Living arrows.
Last weeks living arrows is here.

That picture of Daisy with the pigs is so funny- I don’t know how she’s not toppled in! Love it 🤣

Not as late as my update!!! Sounds like you worked really hard for them this week well done lovely. What great activtes and also I am so stealing the idea about the board games as screens drive me nuts. Love the picture of Daisy and the pig. That is so Harry only he wouldnt be as skilled and probably have landed on top of the poor thing.
Haha boys are always clumsier! Hope you’re enjoying your amazing trips away xx
It sounds like everyone has had a lovely week in amongst the camping prep – your trip has been looking brilliant from the bits I’ve seen on Stories!
Thank you Sarah xx
It sounds like you’ve had a lovely week. I can only imagine the amount of prep camping takes – packing for a weekend at a hotel is bad enough! x
I keep encouraging mine to play board games but then they end up falling out and can’t cope with losing! Haha!
I have plenty of that too argghhh! x
