“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” Gosh I can’t believe that a week or two off, turned into a longer break from blogging than planned.
The kids have been busy as always, there is lots of hockey and football going on at the moment. They’re enjoying cycling, scootering and skating around the village and to school everyday.
This week has felt right to return to blogging and being more active on socials. I would like to say I have been busy relaxing, you know sunning myself on a lounger somewhere exotic but that is certainly not the case. I have been busy settling the 4 of them back to their still relatively new schools and clubs, all whilst having renovations in the house. Now that the workman’s dust has been cleared up, I feel like I can start getting back to my own normal routines, writing and my small business.

Last week we visited a local pumpkin patch. It’s obviously the first time doing this in Devon and we definitely missed our friends that we used to pumpkin pick with up in York.

That said the patch was lovely, it wasn’t too busy and had such a great choice in pumpkins in both variety and size. We got a little carried away and came home with far too many! We will definitely be a little stricter on the numbers we pick next year (please remind me!), and not listening to my husband’s “if you can pick it up and carry it, you can have it” …. the kids are stronger than we thought!

We have a few plans for half term as Dougie has a few days off so we’re looking forward to exploring more of our local area.

I plan on being back with our family news going forward as I have really missed documenting our family life. Hope you’re all well and enjoying the lovely Autumnal sunshine.
