I’m writing this week’s living arrows a little earlier than usual. Funny to think that when this is published we will know whether we’ve won the final! Football fever has struck in our house, which is unusual as we’re not usually football mad! I think after the past 18 months having something the kids and us can sit and enjoy together has really lifted our spirits! I do think it’s wonderful to see how inspiring it is for future generations. Both Daisy and Teddy are really showing a keen interest in playing now.

This week we watched the semi final, although only Fin and Daisy stayed up to see the whole match. We couldn’t face having two tired little ones to deal with the next day. However when it comes to the final, I think we will hope that it’s wrapped up in 90 minutes and probably let them watch it.

Teddy enjoyed his first Sports day. His first one was cancelled in case of rain ( there wasn’t any) the second obviously Covid and so we were pleased his class finally got their first one. It was a shame us parents couldn’t go and watch but at least they had a great time.

With Fin and now Florence having to self isolate due to a covid case in their school year we have taken the opportunity to have a clear out at home. We went through the hand me downs from the big two to the younger ones and took half of them to charity as we had kept so much! Teddy was pleased that we found an old England shirt of Finlay’s so he has spent most of Sunday in the garden in his hand me down kit and boots practicing football. think we will have to try and find an after school football club for him. Hopefully once he moves into Juniors they will have some after school club they can sign up for. All the clubs for infants haven’t started back up since the pandemic.
Anyway I’m going to leave this post here as Florence is wanting some England face paint on her cheeks and Teddy and Daisy are falling out over how to play the game. Wish me luck this week having to keep Florence isolated and hopefully we can all finish the last week of term all at school. Oh and come on England, bring it home!

Oh bless – we watched the football with our faces painted and our flags flying but oh the disappointment…
I hope you made it through the last week of school without any more isolating. They all look very happy playing football in the garden – my two weren’t really bothered about the football so they didn’t stay up to watch it. I hope yours weren’t too tired, or disappointed that we didn’t win 🙂
I love passing on hand me downs to others, it’s so good that your family can really make use of things, So pleased sports day went ahead too! x
It was such a great game and they did so well. Charlie stayed up for the whole game and we were all shattered by then. I have also been going through hand me downs. I still have so much to go through I dont think I am going to get it all done by the tim they break up.
We let Iris stay up for the first ten minutes, though after the first goal she thought we’d won and fell asleep- I’ve not got the heart to tell her we lost!

Haha, I don’t blame you!
