This slow cooker pumpkin spiced fudge recipe is a perfect treat with a warm drink over autumn or after dinner treat. If you follow me then you will know we are big fans of slow cooker fudge. One because it is so simple to make and two because making fudge reminds us of our Devon summer holiday adventures and where our love of fudge began.

This slow cooker pumpkin spiced fudge recipe came about after seeing pumpkin spiced lattes appear back in coffee shops. I do have a disclaimer that this fudge isn’t made using actual pumpkins as that would make for a strange texture! It is made using spices that make up pumpkin desserts and treats. Here in the UK, pumpkin spice already made up isn’t easy to come by, so we have made our own spice combination, for it to be pumpkin spiced and do feel free to tweak the spice levels depending on personal taste.

White Chocolate and Pumpkin Spiced Slow Cooker Fudge Recipe

There are a few tips to remember when working with this fudge. It is a lot of white chocolate in grams. You can reduce the amount of chocolate if you want which gives it a more toffee texture but for a thick fudge consistency 600g is needed.

The best way to cook it, is with the lid in the slow cooker/crockpot for 30 minutes and then lift the lid off for the remaining time.

It is best to keep stirring this fudge every 10-15 minutes as white choclate can catch the sides of the slow cooker and brown a little. If this happens and you get a few caramel coloured lumps, just stir it as much as possible to break the brown grains down and the taste won’t be too affected.

You can top this however you wish. Think halloween sprinkles, orange smarties whatever you fancy. Just remember to cool for 5 fish minutes before placing topping on and then placing straight away into the fridge so the topping doesn’t melt too much. I do think that this fudge is really nice just plain on its own and with a cup of tea or coffee.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tin 395g Sweet condensed milk
  • 1 knob Butter
  • 600 grams White chocolate
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon as little or as much as desired
  • 1 tsp Ground ginger
  • 1-2 Pinch Ground nutmeg
  • tsp Vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Put all the ingrediants into the slow cooker / crockpot.
  • Cook on a low setting for 2 hours until a thick consistency. We find the cooking process works best by placing the lid on for 1/2 an hour for it to reach a warm temperature
  • Then take the lid off the slow cooker and cook with the lid off for the remaining time. It is important that you stir the fudge every 10-15 minutes.
  • Line an 8inch square tin with baking parchment paper. Alternatively you can use ice cube silicone moulds. Pop the fudge mixture into the tin or moulds and leave to cool for at least 2 hours to set.
  • You can add on some piped icing to get the pumpkin affect or simplyserve it plain. We topped the pumpkins with 1/2 a green smartie for the stalk.
  • Cut into pieces and enjoy!
